Capital Area Women (CAW)

Empowerment Circle Intensive Training

Date:       TBD - usually a Saturday & Sunday (both days required)

Time:       8:45am – 5:30pm both days

Location: DC Metropolitan area

This training--led by experienced and trained women from the ECSC community—will familiarize you with the concept of "Empowerment Circles" and provide you with the skills necessary to create a positive, productive, and enriching experience as you prepare to join or form an E-Circle. You will have an opportunity to practice some of these skills in the training, while making connections with new and seasoned members of the ECSC and CAW communities. Upon completion of this weekend

training, the women present may decide whether they wish to continue to meet as a group to form an E-circle.

An Empowerment Circle (E-circles) is an opportunity to continue the growth you began on your weekend within the supportive environment of a small, local group of women. In E-circles, women use a set of skills that allow them to be real, have feelings, speak their truth in a caring way and to both challenge each other and accept each other for where they are.
